Renato Nunes

Experience: Renato has had a lengthy career in Tax and Corporate Law, both in the areas of advisory and litigation, providing advice on relevant business matters in Brazil and abroad. He combines his solid experience in law with teaching in the legal area and as a judge in the three main Administrative Courts of Brazil that deal with tax matters. After having worked for one of thelargest tax audit and consulting companies in the world and at renowned Brazilian legal offices, Renato is recognized in the professional field as a lawyer with a solid academic background, who acts objectively and who is highly focused on his clients’ interests, proposing innovative solutions in the cases on which he works.

Academic background: Doctorate, Master’s and Specialist in Tax Law from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC / SP).

Professional Activities: Professor of Tax Law at INSPER; Visiting professor of postgraduate courses throughout Brazil; Judge of the Tax Court of the State of São Paulo (TIT SP); Legal Director of the Brazilian College of Health Executives (CBEXS); Member of the Budget and Accounts Committee of the São Paulo Section of the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB / SP); Member of the Prerogatives Committee of OAB / SP; Lecturer in short courses and symposiums related to tax and business law topics. Renato has also been a member of the Administrative Council of Tax Appeals (CARF) and the Municipal Tax Council of São Paulo (CMT SP) and Coordinator of the municipal tax division of the Administrative Tax Procedure Committee of OAB / SP.

Publications: Author of the books “Tax on Income Due to Non-Residents in Brazil”, published by Editora Quartier Latin, and “Taxation and Accounting” published by Editora Almedina. Renato also has authored numerous articles in technical journals and periodicals in Brazil and abroad.
